Last position was Chief Geologist of the Western US for the US Geological Survey. Would be on travel about half the month, visiting any of 9 states in the West. Would give science or policy talks, meet with leadership and staff on their work and needs, and take tours of field areas. Other half of time was working with Congressional staff, university faculty, and companies on projects related to the environment/climate, hazards, water, and earth resources.
